Crafted from sessions originally recorded in 2019 and 2013, Death of the Teen Age is a minimalist orchestral guitar odyssey. A requiem for the Teen Decade and an introspective journey through the first years of Decade Pandemic. Dowling/Tokle took to the vaults to re-examine live, improvised sessions (the basis of all their collective work) and began building what would be a brand new piece (in 2 parts/sides): layering new improvisations and responses to the original material. As accidentally deliberate as the preceding two albums, Death of the Teen Age manages to be both classically TINTAL and unquestionably new.
